Crimson Moon Weapons Tier List (v0.1) — Early-Game Rating
The crimson moon weapons tier list v0.1 ranks six early-game utility picks by access, Weapon Art role, and dated evidence—not unverified DPS.
This Crimson Moon Weapons Tier List (v0.1) is an early-game and general-utility snapshot, not an endgame DPS ladder. It rates only what the checked evidence can support: access path, one-handed or Polearm role, documented Weapon Art function, and dated player reports. It does not compare hidden numbers, drop rates, attack frames, or boss damage.
Last verified: September 4, 2026 — PC Patch 1.0.0.1. The six ratings below are provisional and may move after controlled testing or a combat patch. The other 27 weapons stay TBD rather than being forced into a tier.
How We Rate
The ranking asks a narrow question: how useful is this weapon as an early or broadly applicable choice, using only information we can trace? A tier is not a claim that one weapon has higher DPS than another.
| Tier | v0.1 meaning |
|---|---|
| S | Reported as obtainable very early or immediately useful, with broad utility supported by more than a catalog entry. |
| A | Has a predictable early access path and a clearly useful role, but lacks enough testing for S. |
| B | Has a documented practical use, but missing acquisition timing or comparative tests prevents a stronger recommendation. |
| C | Its verified access timing or role makes it a poor early investment. No weapon meets that evidence threshold yet. |
| TBD | The current record cannot support a fair tier. TBD does not mean weak or average. |
Every reason uses one or more of these evidence labels:
- 【own testing】 means this site logged a reproducible in-game test with platform, patch, date, and evidence. No weapon on this v0.1 has that label. The existing Axe of the Gods and Soldier’s Hammer profiles explicitly say their performance has not been independently tested.
- 【wiki.gg】 means the name, type, Weapon Art, unlock record, or qualitative Art function comes from the dated wiki.gg weapon catalog or its Weapon Arts reference. Those pages are community maintained and used under CC BY-SA 4.0.
- 【official】 means the claim comes from ProbablyMonsters or the Steam store. It does not convert a marketing entitlement into a performance test.
- 【community】 means a dated public player discussion provides the practical report. It is treated as a field report, not controlled proof.
- 【pending】 means the missing information remains unverified, so the weapon stays TBD or its ceiling is capped.
The current Patch 1.0.0.1 notes do not describe weapon-balance changes. The launch known-issues notice said Hotfix 1.0.1 was planned, so this page does not assume that hotfix is live or that a reported multi-hit interaction is permanent.
Tier List
Rated weapons appear first from S through C. The table then lists every TBD weapon. The full catalog still lives on the Weapons reference, while build decisions should be checked against Build Fundamentals and the broader Builds hub.

Tier Breakdown
S Tier
Crescent Moon Halberd. The catalog pairs this Polearm with Winter Solstice, an Art that summons an ice wedge and deals Frost【wiki.gg】. In a September 2 Reddit thread, more than one player reported finding the weapon in the first chest, using the close-range multi-hit interaction through a full run, and clearing Hellish【community】. That combination meets the v0.1 definition of early access plus broad practical impact, but the same players suspected a bug. Treat S as a live-patch snapshot, not a promise that the interaction will survive a fix.
A Tier
Axe of the Gods. ProbablyMonsters and Steam list it as a Deluxe Edition entitlement【official】, giving eligible owners a more predictable access route than an undocumented random find. The wiki pairs the one-handed axe with Empower, described as increasing defenses and damage of all types【wiki.gg】. That broad role earns A, not S: exact delivery, duration, output, and real-run performance remain untested【pending】.
B Tier
Reaper Poleaxe. Homing Projectiles is documented as a Fire-damage Art that tracks foes【wiki.gg】. A tracking ranged option is useful coverage for a committed Polearm loadout, but missing acquisition timing and encounter tests cap the weapon at B【pending】.
Revenant Blade. Winter Sun is documented to encase nearby foes with Frost【wiki.gg】. The one-handed type also preserves the shield slot, so the recorded role is clear; without a sourced unlock path or comparison against other Winter Sun weapons, B is the honest ceiling【pending】.
Sword of the Lunar Sentinel. It has the same one-handed plus Winter Sun structure as Revenant Blade【wiki.gg】. v0.1 keeps them together because no verified stat, rarity, access, or performance record justifies separating them【pending】.
Lumenfel. Pillars of Light is documented as Magic damage around a targeted enemy【wiki.gg】, giving a one-handed setup an identifiable ranged or semi-ranged answer. Its acquisition and practical output remain unknown, so the clear role supports B but not A【pending】.
C Tier
No weapon is placed in C. Several catalog entries name a boss source, but a boss name alone does not prove that the weapon arrives too late for early use, has a poor role, or deserves low investment. Those entries remain TBD until the run order and permanent unlock timing are reproducibly documented.
TBD
- Crude Bandit Axe, Broadsword, and Crusader Longsword: no cataloged Art, unlock timing, or baseline test.
- Soldier’s Hammer, Morning Star, Obsidian Shard, Crimson Oath Broadsword, Champion’s Sword, Covenant Sword, Recantation, Fiery Broadsword, Sanctus Pyre, Sovereign’s Sword, Belwayne Sword, Axiom, Leviathan Great Axe, Drakeward, and Wyrmtongue: an Art is recorded, but early availability and comparable real-run utility are not.
- Dragon Assassin Broadsword, Blasphemous Accord, Burning Heart, Rotkin’s Thorn, Gildenarch’s Glory, Scirax, Defiled Night, Akyreon’s Tongue, and Cultravix: a named encounter source is recorded, but the stage, permanent-access timing, and practical value are not established.
TBD weapons are deliberately excluded from the ranking order. Use the Weapon Compare tool to inspect only recorded fields, and send a reproducible correction through Contact.

Update Log
v0.1 — September 4, 2026: Replaced the all-TBD ledger with six conservative early-game utility ratings: Crescent Moon Halberd at S, Axe of the Gods at A, and four role-defined weapons at B.
